Self Protection / Self Defence
What's The Difference?
Self Protection & Self Defence Classes In Swindon
Self Protection
Self-protection is pre-emptive use of force used before the situation becomes physical and before it causes you harm and injury. Simplified, I attack or ambush the aggressor before they can cause physical harm upon oneself or another.
Self Defence
Self-defence is reactive. This implies that violence has started causing emotional and physiological change and you now have to react and defend yourself with a counterattack. Self-defence is common in domestic violence, situations where awareness and protection has failed and ambush attacks.

Running
Is it safer to run? Should I run? This can be a controversial topic within this sector.
Often, the answer could be Yes! However, it is not always the case, there are things which need to be considered and for some people running maybe a dangerous idea opposed to a wise decision:
Things To Conisder Before Running
Am I fitter than the person/s? Are they alone? Am I alone? If I run, where am I running to? What will make me safer at this location I’m running too? Do they have weapons? What is my current condition?

01.

We teach you how to protect yourself by covering up to defend the initial attack in order to prevent unconsciousness, so you can regain composure and cognition to then be able to unleash a devastating counterattack.

Leaning how to react and perform various techniques to release from grabs, holds, pins and more
We teach you how to deal with and counter various grabs, holds, chokes and pins where self-protection has failed or not been possible to deploy.
